A TOOT FROM THE STUTE

NEWS FROM INSTITUTE

September 2018

After a hot and sultry summer, Christmas still seems a long way off but never the less after much discussion and heart searching we are making the following statement “The Institute Committee wishes to say that they will be breaking with tradition and regret that we will not be organizing the Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch this year. We know everyone appreciates the enormous effort that has been put in by the Committee over the years and we would like to thank you all for your help and support.

Good turnout at August`s Coffee morning, we now have a regular group of cyclists stop off for refreshments. The highlight of the morning was the stop over of a Palletways trucker who parked around the corner paid for coffee cake and six courgettes

The Market is still very popular, but we have lost about 6 stalls over the last 12 months. I know Jenny is now in contact with someone who may run a veg stall which would be great. We also need a stall

selling savoury pies and pasties, if there is anybody out there who could do this please contact us.

We are not putting on any events in September but the Flaky Tarts are here in the Autumn and Live and Local are back at the end of November

Dates for your Diary Coffee Morning Thursday 6th
