NEWS FROM INSTITUTE
FEBRUARY 2019
Just a couple of things left over from last year. Thank you to June for making the Christmas raffle cake, thanks to Pat for selling tickets and thanks to all of you for buying them, it raised £240 for stute funds. The Oompah Band Evening was a great success. We hope the Oak Fest group will do it again some time.
Bookings are going well for 2019, but we still have plenty of dates avaliable so if you are having a party or event please consider us. The Tennis Club have booked the hall and hired a band for a gig this month. Its good to see the Institute being used for live music on a regular basis.
The Market is now embedded as part of village life, many of our stall holders are old friends, but we are still offering soming new most months. If you forget the dates the Coffee morning is always the first Thursday of the month and the Market is the third Saturday.
The owners and customers at the Oak have been very generous in their support of the Stute over the years. It is great to see that the future of the Pub is now much more secure with new tenants in place. We wish them lots of success for the years ahead.
At the moment the future seems rather uncertain but rest assured you will still be able to go to the Village Institute drink coffee, eat cake and buy a bacon bap.
